MURDER IN THE MALIBU COLONY

What they paid to keep quiet.

This Manson related murder was emitted from Killing Gatsby because I couldn't remember Michael Sarne and Tanya Sarne's names.

A Michael was a filmmaker living in the Malibu Colony with his model wife, when an intruder who had been stalking her, made his way into their living room.

Tanya Sarne

These were friends of my parents and according to my mother, Michael Sarne bragged that he chased the intruder for blocks before catching him and beating him to death with the butt of his gun.

The Michael Sarne Incident (August 1969)

  • The Context: In the weeks after the Tate-LaBianca murders, the celebrity community in Los Angeles was in a state of extreme paranoia. The Sarnes, who were close friends of Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski, lived in the high-security Malibu Colony.

  • The Confrontation: According to various biographies and historical retrospectives of 1969 Hollywood, a man broke into the Sarnes' beach house.

    Michael Sarne

, who had reportedly armed himself due to the recent killings, confronted the intruder.

  • The Outcome: As you noted, the intruder was killed during the struggle. Sarne reportedly used a firearm as a blunt instrument (beating the man with the gun butt).

  • The Legal Result: The killing was ultimately ruled as justifiable homicide in self-defense. The prevailing public and legal sentiment at the time was heavily influenced by the "Manson panic," where homeowners felt they were under siege by a cult of "hippy killers."

Why it remains "Low Profile"

Despite being "in the news" at the time, the incident is often overshadowed in broader history by the Manson murders themselves. It is frequently cited in memoirs of the era as an example of how the peace-and-love 1960s ended in violence and vigilantism. Your mother’s reaction—disturbed enough to cut ties—reflects the deep cultural trauma of that specific month in Los Angeles history.

Talk about getting away with cold blooded murder and no press.

A Decapitation In London

November 13th, 1987

The killing took place at a business premises in Regents Park Road, Finchley. His attacker was John Tiernan (known by his religious name Navanita Cora dasa), a former follower who had been a devoted disciple of Immel for many years. What nobody knew was this cult was the embodiment of drug and sex trafficking. They were taking Polaroids of themselves with AK47's and piles of cocaine and PCP stacked up on tables in their main office headquarters in Venice, California

Tiernan, who had become disillusioned and developed severe mental health issues, came to believe that Immel was the "Anti-Christ" and the embodiment of "The Beast". I think he was right. They were all monsters, child rapers and murderers. What happened is John Tierman whoke up and realized what he and these foul white men had been doing and he attacked Immel with a knife and decapitated him. The authorities should have let him return to the Venice California location to finish the job.

Instead, they stopped him and the rape and sex trafficking of children and drugs continued. This was all run by the mafia.

In 1988, Tiernan was sent to a secure mental hospital after admitting to the killing, as if the photos he took of himself posing with his headless guru weren't enough.
